Loss of Studios – A certain betrayal

Unfortunately, our hopes for the studios above the Roath Park Pub on City Road have been to no avail; after promising us a great deal of freedom with the creation of studios in the loft, the landlady decided to quickly backtrack all statements and choose other events over ourselves. Although it was frustrating, there was a slew of problems arising before us even moving into the space, and it was starting to become less and less of a reality until a point in which myself and my partner, Sarah Padbury, cleaned the entirety of the upstairs space for a day (cleaning up a good thirty years worth of dirt and grime), only to be told that having studios up there wouldn’t be a good idea as she needs space for other events, noting that the money brought in was a large contributing factor. Nevertheless, It is done, and we have severed ties with the space. Onwards and upwards, We have a skype interview with the Kim Fielding award this Thursday, and will Hopefully be able to gain some sort of funding and support from this prestigious, Cardiff -based Trust.
