Induction project; Transform a drawing into a 3-D Sculpture

This is a late post, but last week was our induction week, and the first project we were asked to accomplish was a ‘transformation’, of a drawing into a 3-D Sculpture.

As you can see in the background of the image, on the wall there is a drawing that has been cut up and morphed into something else. Once having decided in our group what it could be (in our eyes, a city), we set to work bringing the idea to life, with the numerous materials we had at hand.

Of course, we took some artistic liberty and crafted a few ‘odd-itions’ of our own (see the ufo, as well as the hand sculpture attributed to a ‘Handthony gormley’), which really made the project an enjoyable one.
